Inca Jungle
Tour: Inca Jungle
The Urubamba River stretches from the high Andean ranges through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, passing Machu Picchu and deeper into the jungle. The Urubamba River is divided into the Upper Urubamba and Lower Urubamba, with the characteristic dividing point being the Pongo de Mainique, a white-water canyon that opens into the Amazon plain.
ITINERARY
Our tour starts at 9:00 AM in Cusco. Our transportation will then take us to the Camp in the village of Chuquicahuana, approximately a 2-hour journey. There, our professional river guides will provide all the necessary rafting equipment: helmet, wetsuit, life jacket, and self-rescue rafts. After a comprehensive safety briefing, we will spend about 2 hours rafting downstream on Class III and IV rapids.
Following this, we will return to the camp where you can enjoy a hot shower while our lunch is being prepared. After lunch, you will have the option to do a Zip Line or Canopy tour with two cables. Subsequently, we will return to Cusco, concluding our tour around 5:00 PM near the Plaza de Armas.
